Two Founders, One Vision

Some ideas begin with a product. Ours began with a shared passion for beauty, creativity and the belief that feeling good about yourself can make a real difference.

We’re Patrik Lernberger and Mattias Stafsing, and long before we founded Lernberger Stafsing in 2011, we were working as hair and make-up artists. Through our work, we learnt that beauty is about much more than appearance. It’s about identity, confidence and the small details that can change how you see yourself.

We came to the beauty industry from different perspectives, but we shared the same ambition: to help people bring out the best in themselves.

Two different perspectives, one shared passion

Patrik has always been drawn to the transformative power of hair. Colour, shape and texture can change the way a person looks, but also how they feel. Working in television, helping both men and women transform their appearance, strengthened his belief that the outside can reflect something deeper within.

For him, hair is a creative expression and a way to help people feel more like themselves. Over the years, this passion has taken him around the world, teaching and inspiring hairdressers to approach their craft with both technical skill and an artistic mindset.

Mattias found his own path through aesthetics, fashion and make-up. His time as a fashion model gave him an early understanding of the importance of beauty routines and the role they can play in everyday life. Later, working as a hair and make-up artist, he developed a deeper appreciation for the individual details that make each person unique.

For Mattias, beauty is about recognising what is already there and enhancing it with care and precision. He believes there is something extraordinary in everyone, sometimes just waiting to be brought to the surface.

Throughout their careers, Patrik and Mattias have worked with a diverse range of clients, including artists, entertainers and members of royal families. These experiences, alongside their shared passion for their craft, have shaped their approach to beauty: personal, considered and rooted in the belief that the smallest details can make a meaningful difference.

From professional experience to our own vision

Working behind the scenes in the beauty industry gave us a close understanding of what professionals need from their products. We knew the importance of performance, the feel of a formula and the difference the right product could make to a result.

But we also saw an opportunity to bring that professional knowledge into people's everyday lives.

We wanted to create products that combined the performance we expected as artists with the quality, design and experience we valued ourselves. Products that were effective and considered, but also enjoyable to use. Products with a clear purpose and a place in everyday routines.

That idea became Lernberger Stafsing, founded in 2011.

Creating our own brand was a natural next step for us. It gave us the opportunity to bring our experience, ideas and shared philosophy together, and to build something that reflected how we believe beauty should feel.

Creativity is better when it's shared

We have always had different strengths, and that is part of what makes working together so rewarding.

Patrik brings a deep love of hair, a creative eye and a passion for the craft. Mattias brings a strong aesthetic sensibility, an eye for detail and a feel for how beauty evolves. We challenge each other, exchange ideas and look at things from different angles.

Of course, sharing a vision doesn't mean always seeing things in exactly the same way. Sometimes the most interesting ideas come from asking questions, looking at something differently or pushing each other to go a little further.

What connects us is the way we approach what we do: with curiosity, commitment and heart.

For us, creativity isn't only about coming up with something new. It's about understanding why it matters, how it works and what it can bring to the person using it.

Beauty should feel personal

Throughout our careers, one thing has remained important to us: beauty should never be about turning everyone into the same version of themselves.

It's about finding what works for you. The right shape, the right texture, a skincare product that meets your needs or a routine that makes you feel good in your own skin.

We believe that when you feel good on the outside, it can have a positive effect on how you feel on the inside, too. Not because appearance defines who you are, but because taking care of yourself can be a meaningful part of everyday life.

This belief continues to influence the way we think about our products. We want them to help people feel confident in their own choices, express their individuality and enjoy the small rituals that make a difference.

Still curious, still creating

Since founding Lernberger Stafsing, our world has continued to evolve, but the principles behind the brand remain close to where we started.

Our professional backgrounds still shape the way we approach product development. We remain curious about new ideas, ingredients and techniques, while always returning to the same questions: Does it work? Does it serve a purpose? Does it offer something genuinely valuable?

For us, building a beauty brand is about more than creating products. It's about bringing together expertise, creativity and a shared belief in making everyday beauty a little more personal.

We started with a common passion and a vision for what beauty could be. Today, that vision continues to guide us in everything we do.
