7 facts every skincare junkie should know

Exhausted by the endless amount of articles, facts and the do’s and don’ts on how to treat your skin? Relax. We’ll guide you through the skincare jungle and to the pro-tips that actually work.

1 – Your routine

It might sound boring and not surprising at all, but comitting to a daily skincare routine is one of the most valuable things you can do to get visible results. Healthy, moisturized, glowy and balanced skin is rarely something that comes without effort. Find a routine with products customized after your skin’s needs and condition and stay truly dedicated to it. Magic doesn’t happen over one night, so be patient and you’ll see results within 4-6 weeks. It will be worth the wait!

2 – Your products

The most important thing about your skincare routine is obviously what’s included. Find out about your skin’s needs and use products based on your current skin condition.

3 – Your diet

Does your diet really affect the look of your skin? The answer is yes, and a lot more than you would know. What you eat will most certainly show on your face and skin. To be your most beautiful self, we recommend a mostly plantbased diet filled with greens, fruits and berries which will stimulate cell regeneration which will give you a healthy and glowy skin. Let greens and colorful veggies be the biggest part of your daily food consumption to enhance your intake of vitamins and antioxidants.

4 – Moisturizing

The fact that beauty journalists and skin therapists constantly nag about the importance of moisturizing is no coincidence. By drinking water and using moisturizing serums, creams and facemasks on a regular basis you’ll help hydrate your skin and body from both inside and outside.

5 – Exfoliate (but not too much!)

There’s a lot of exfoliating peelings and masks on the market, made to remove dead skin cells in order to make way for new ones. This is an important part of your weekly skincare routine –  as long as you don’t overdo it! Here’s the thing: you shouldn’t (and don’t even need to) exfoliate more than 1-3 times a week. If you exfoliate too much and too often, you’re damaging your skin barrier which is your skin’s most important protection against external destructive factors.

Be gentle on your skin, and try our Volcanic Rock Scrub or our AHA/BHA Peel Gel Mask once or twice a week for a healthy, luminous skin!

6 – Sleep and recovery

Lack of sleep and too much stress will affect your skin in a negative way. While we sleep, our skin is busy repairing itself from damage caused by internal and external factors. Try to get at least 7 hours of sleep at night and prioritze exercise and relaxation in your everyday life.

7 – Focus on your inner beauty

A beautiful outside starts with a beautiful inside. Focus on yourself and your inner glow. What personal attributes are you most proud of? Don’t look for the flaws as you go through life, instead try to focus on the good features in the way you are and the way you look.
